Doppelkopf Score Calculator
Doppelkopf game points from card points, announcements and special points (DDV rules).
Try an example: Re wins with 150, Re announced, one fox caught · Kontra wins against the Queens with 125 · Re said keine 90 but got only 140 · Queens solo won keine 60
How it works
Scores one game of Doppelkopf by the tournament rules of the Deutscher Doppelkopf-Verband: who won (121 for Re, 120 for Kontra, shifted by announcements and Absagen), the plus-minus points for winning, against the Queens of Clubs, under 90/60/30, Schwarz, Re/Kontra (+2 each), every Absage, reaching 120/90/60/30 against an Absage, and the special points Fox caught, Karlchen and Doppelkopf in normal games. A soloist scores three times. The Playcards app scores every game with the same function.
- Winner (DDV 7.1): Re needs 121 card points, Kontra 120; if only Kontra was announced, Re wins with 120 and Kontra needs 121. A party that said keine 90/60/30 needs 151/181/211, after Schwarz every trick; the other party then wins with 90/60/30 or one trick. If both parties fail their Absagen, nobody wins.
- Points (DDV 7.2): won 1, against the Queens of Clubs 1 (Kontra wins a normal game), under 90/60/30 and Schwarz 1 each, Re and Kontra announced 2 each, every Absage 1, reaching 120/90/60/30 against an Absage 1 each (also without a winner). Special points (normal games only): every fox caught, Karlchen and every Doppelkopf 1 for the party that made it; they are set off against each other.
- Plus-minus scoring: each Re player gets the value, each Kontra player its negative; a soloist gets three times the value.

How to use the Doppelkopf score calculator
Score a Doppelkopf game by the DDV tournament rules from card points, tricks, announcements and special points, line by line.
What it is for
Doppelkopf scores are easy to get wrong: who won depends on the announcements, “against the Queens of Clubs” adds a point, Absagen and special points pile up, and a soloist counts three times. This calculator scores one game by the tournament rules of the German Doppelkopf Association (DDV) and lists every game point with the party it belongs to.
You enter the Re party's card points, the tricks of both parties, the highest announcement of each party and the special points. It does not check whether the announcements were made in time, and it knows no house rules such as Bock rounds or extra points for catching a Dulle.
Worked example
The default example: Re takes 150 card points in 8 tricks, Re was announced and one fox was caught by Re. The tool answers Re wins with 150 card points: 4 points — each Re player +4, each Kontra player -4. The Game points table shows Won 1, Re announced 2 and Fox caught 1.
A closer game: Re has 140 card points but announced keine 90. That obliges Re to keep Kontra under 90 — Kontra got 100. So Kontra wins: Won 1, Against the Queens of Clubs 1, Re announced 2 and Re keine 90 announced 1, a total of 5, so each Re player scores −5.
Special points are set off against each other: with 98 Re card points, Kontra announced, a fox caught by Kontra and a Karlchen for Re, Kontra wins with 4 points — five lines for Kontra, one Karlchen line for Re.
For a solo with 185 card points and Re announced, the soloist scores +15 and each opponent −5: won, under 90, under 60, and 2 for Re.
How to read the result
- Winner: Re, Kontra or nobody — both parties can miss their own announcements.
- Re card points / Kontra card points: the two always add up to 240.
- Game points table: every line with its party; lines of the losing party are subtracted.
- Each Re player / Each Kontra player (or Soloist): the score-sheet entries. They always add up to zero across the four players.
Tips and common mistakes
- Without announcements Re needs 121 card points, Kontra 120. If only Kontra announced, Re wins with 120.
- An announcement raises your own target: keine 90 means the opponents must stay under 90.
- Re and Kontra count 2 points each; every further Absage counts 1.
- Special points (fox, Karlchen, Doppelkopf) only count in normal games, not in solos.
- A Doppelkopf is a trick with at least 40 card points; enter how many each party won.
- “Under 90/60/30” and “schwarz” are earned whether or not they were announced.
FAQ
Why did Re lose with 140 card points?
Because Re announced keine 90 and Kontra reached 100. A party that misses its own announcement loses, whatever its card points.
What is “against the Queens of Clubs”?
An extra point for Kontra when it wins a normal game against the party holding the Queens of Clubs. It does not apply in solos.
How is a solo scored?
The game value is calculated as usual; the soloist gets it three times, each of the three opponents once with the opposite sign.
Does this match the Playcards app?
Yes. The app's Doppelkopf table uses the same scoring function, so the Points table at the end of a game shows the same lines.
